The KOSUN Drilling Fluid Shale Shaker is the first stage of solid control equipment in the drilling mud solid control system, used to separate a large amount of cuttings carried by the mud from the wellbore before the mud enters the secondary separation equipment.   This screen can be used individually or in combination with double or multiple screens.

 

The KOSUN Drilling Fluid Shale Shaker is a high-frequency linear shaking machine.   It is equipped with three screen frames and two vibrating motors.   It features an adjustable screen frame angle (AWD) manually during drilling.   When the LS584 Shale Shaker is in operation, the screen frame angle can be adjusted between -1° and +5°.   Thanks to innovative structural design, the Drilling Fluid Shale Shaker can efficiently separate cutting particles.   The vibrating motors are fixed on the screen frame with high-strength support beams and positioned on the screen bed.   This method of positioning allows the vibration force (G-force) to directly act on the screen mesh.   The isolation device prevents the base frame from being affected by the screen frame vibration.   The mud is fed into the vibrating screen through the feed box.

The main components of the KOSUN Drilling Fluid Shale Shaker include the screen frame, vibrating motors, screen tensioning system, AWD angle adjustment system, locking device, feed box, electrical system, and others.

 

As part of the solid control equipment, the shale shaker is primarily used for solid control and drilling waste management in the solid control system.  Its functions include:

 

1.  Screening solid particles: Through vibration and the action of the screen mesh, the shale shaker can separate and screen solid particles based on their different particle sizes.  It can remove large solid impurities and drill cuttings from the mud, ensuring the quality and stability of the mud.

2.  Reducing solid content: The shale shaker effectively separates solid particles from the mud, reducing the solid content.  This helps to reduce the viscosity and density of the mud, improving its flowability and drilling efficiency.

3.  Drilling waste management: The shale shaker can separate solid waste (such as drill cuttings) from the mud, facilitating the treatment and harmless disposal of the waste.  This helps to reduce environmental pollution caused by waste and meets environmental protection requirements.

 

The oilfield shale shaker is a filtering mechanical separation equipment used for solid phase treatment of mud.   It is mainly used to separate solid particles in the mud with a particle size larger than 76μm.  It is an efficient and new type of screening equipment widely used in industries such as oil drilling, coal mining, shield construction, and HDD non-excavation.
