Product Overview

KOSUN Tailings Dewatering System combines screening and centrifugal dewatering equipment to process high-water-content tailings slurry from mineral processing.

The system separates coarse and fine solids from the liquid phase, reduces tailings moisture and volume, and prepares dewatered solids for dry stacking or further handling. Meanwhile, the recovered water can be recycled and reused where suitable.

With a modular layout and PLC-based intelligent control, the system supports continuous and stable operation for tailings treatment.

Tailings slurry discharged from mineral processing typically contains a high proportion of water and fine particles. In addition, the material may have strong abrasive and corrosive properties.

If operators directly discharge wet tailings into a tailings storage facility, the material may accelerate storage capacity consumption and increase the risk of leakage and contamination.

KOSUN processes tailings slurry through a combination of screening and centrifugal dewatering equipment. The system separates solids from liquid, reduces the moisture and volume of tailings, and prepares the dewatered solids for dry stacking. Meanwhile, the recovered water can be recycled and reused where suitable.

Tailings Dewatering Solution

KOSUN provides an integrated tailings dewatering solution combining vibrating screening with decanter centrifugation.

First, the vibrating screen removes coarse sand, gravel, and other large particles from the tailings slurry. This pretreatment helps provide stable feed conditions for the downstream dewatering equipment.

Next, the decanter centrifuge separates fine solid particles from the liquid phase through centrifugal sedimentation. The centrifuge then reduces the moisture content of the tailings and prepares the solids for dry stacking or subsequent handling.

In addition, the system adopts a modular layout and PLC-based intelligent control. An automatic centrifuge cleaning function supports continuous and stable operation.

Main Equipment

LS608 Shale Shaker

The LS608 shale shaker provides front-end screening and pretreatment for tailings slurry, removing coarse particles before centrifugal dewatering.

DC650 Decanter Centrifuge

The DC650 decanter centrifuge performs solid-liquid separation and deep dewatering of fine tailings, reducing moisture content for dry stacking or further handling.

DC750 Decanter Centrifuge

The DC750 decanter centrifuge provides high-capacity solid-liquid separation and deep dewatering for fine tailings.
