An integrated drilling mud storage and treatment system supplied by KOSUN has arrived at an overseas drilling operation site and is now entering the on-site assembly and commissioning stage.
The project brings together drilling mud storage equipment and solids control units to support the handling and treatment of drilling fluids during drilling operations.
Following transportation to the site, the equipment has been unloaded and transferred into position. KOSUN’s technical service team is also supporting the project on site as installation and commissioning activities begin.

Integrated Drilling Mud Treatment Equipment
Drilling fluid continuously changes during drilling operations as formation solids enter the mud system. Effective solids control therefore requires coordinated equipment rather than a single separation unit.
The delivered system combines different equipment functions within an integrated mud management setup.
The project includes equipment for:
- Drilling mud storage
- Solids control
- Solid-liquid separation
- Mud handling
- System integration and supporting equipment
The equipment is arranged as part of an overall treatment and storage system to meet the operational requirements of the drilling site.
From Solids Control Equipment to an Integrated System
Individual solids control equipment performs specific separation functions within a drilling fluid system. However, practical field applications also require storage capacity, fluid transfer, equipment connections, and coordinated operation between different units.
This is where system integration becomes important.
KOSUN focuses on providing equipment and integrated solutions for drilling fluid treatment and solids control, with systems configured according to the characteristics and requirements of individual projects.
For this project, the equipment has been prepared, transported, and delivered as part of an integrated drilling mud storage and treatment solution.
Equipment Has Arrived. Commissioning Comes Next.
The arrival of the equipment is an important step in the project, but the system will now move into a more critical stage: on-site assembly and commissioning.
The technical team will support equipment installation, connections, commissioning, and system checks to prepare the equipment for operation.
This transition—from manufactured equipment to a functioning field system—is an important part of every customized project.
Supporting Drilling Operations with Practical Equipment
For drilling contractors and project operators, mud treatment equipment needs to fit the actual working environment, not simply meet specifications on paper.
Equipment layout, storage, separation, handling, and system connections all influence how a mud treatment system operates in the field.
Through equipment manufacturing, system integration, and technical support, KOSUN provides drilling fluid treatment equipment for applications where reliable solids control and mud management are required.
With this project now on site, the next stage will be the assembly and commissioning of the system.
The equipment has arrived. The next step is putting the system into operation.
