Oil-based mud treatment without touching the ground, one-click solution to the problem of oily solid waste!

Oil-based mud treatment without touching the ground, one-click solution to the problem of oily solid waste!

Under the multiple pressures of environmental protection laws and the construction of green mines,

the traditional practice of open-air drying and on-site burial of oil-based mud has become extremely difficult to carry out. How can we both adhere to the environmental protection

red line and recycle the expensive base oil? The oil-based mud non-landing treatment system is becoming an essential option for major oil fields to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

What is oil-based mud that does not touch the ground

"Not touching the ground" refers to the fact that the oil-based rock cuttings generated during drilling, from the wellhead to the final compliant disposal,

do not touch the ground or build mud pits throughout the process. Through skid-mounted equipment, solid-liquid-oil three-phase separation is achieved at the wellhead,

with the oil content of the solid phase being ≤3% to 8%, and the liquid phase being 100% reused, truly realizing "zero discharge, zero addition, and no pooling".

The four-step core process addresses hazardous waste and resources

The high-frequency cuttings dewatering machine combined with screw conveyor can quickly carry out high-speed liquid removal at 40 tons per hour, instantly reducing the oil content of the cuttings to 5% to 8%.

2. The variable-frequency centrifuge is used for fine separation of mud ranging from 2 to 5 μm, and over 90% of the recovered base oil can be reused.

3. Thermal desorption/biodegradation is used for secondary advanced treatment of residues with an oil content greater than 8%, and the solid phase oil content is less than 0.5%.

4. A trace amount of the reagent can stabilize the final solid phase, meeting the requirements for direct road paving or brick-making resource utilization.

Project case data

1. Treatment of oily sludge from the 1-billion-ton Mahu Oilfield in Karamay, Xinjiang: The treatment of oily sludge from oil extraction can achieve an oil content of less than 5% in the solid phase after treatment, and the recovery rate of oil-based mud is 80%.

2. Sichuan Shale Gas Oil-based + water-based Mud Non-landing Project: Through the non-landing system, drilling fluid waste can be effectively treated, treatment costs can be reduced, useful mud or water can be recovered, resource reuse can be achieved, and pollution to the environment by waste can be avoided.
